Poshmark offers: count the fee and shipping discount before you accept

Respond to Poshmark offers from a floor: the 20% fee, Offer to Likers rules, shipping discounts you fund, counteroffers and a worked offer table.

Example scenario · illustrative, not a real seller

An example $40 listing cost $8, and you’re funding a $2 shipping discount. At $40 the profit is $22. At $25 it is $10, and that is the floor this seller chose.

What you’ll get

  • How Poshmark’s fee changes the offer math.
  • Offer to Likers rules that affect pricing.
  • The cost of a shipping discount you fund.
  • A worked offer table to a chosen floor.
  • Counteroffer habits that save time.

An Offer to Likers is a private price for people already interested

On Poshmark, every like is a signal from a shopper who might buy at the right price. Offer to Likers turns those likes into a private, time-limited deal: you lower the price for everyone who liked the listing, and they have a short window to accept. It is one of the most direct selling tools in the app, and also one of the easiest ways to discount more than you intended.

Before you send one, know exactly what the offer leaves you after Poshmark's fee.

How Offer to Likers works

Poshmark's January 2026 guide to its features and tools, checked November 8, 2026, says:

  • Tap the Offer or Price Drop button on a listing and choose Offer to Likers; offers are private.
  • You need to drop the price by at least 10% and choose a shipping discount.
  • The offer goes to everyone who has liked the listing.
  • All offers expire in 24 hours.
  • To be successfully sent, the offer must be at least 10% below your lowest offer in the last 90 days.

That last rule matters most. Each new Offer to Likers within 90 days has to go at least 10% below the previous lowest, so repeated offers step the price down quickly.

Step 1: Calculate what you keep

Poshmark's getting started guide says it charges a flat $2.95 on sales under $15 and 20% on sales of $15 or more. Work out your earnings at the offer price, then subtract what the item cost you and the shipping discount you choose to fund.

In this chosen example, a sweater is listed at $40. It cost you $8. You want at least $12 profit after Poshmark's fee and any shipping discount you fund.

Offer pricePoshmark feeEarningsLess costLess a $2 shipping discount you fundProfit
$40$8.00$32.00$8$2$22.00
$36 (10% off)$7.20$28.80$8$2$18.80
$32$6.40$25.60$8$2$15.60
$28$5.60$22.40$8$2$12.40
$25$5.00$20.00$8$2$10.00

At these figures, about $28 is the lowest offer that still clears $12. The $2 shipping discount is a chosen assumption; check how the discount you pick is funded in the app at the time you send it. The offer room tool runs the same check.

Step 2: Watch the $15 line

Because the fee switches from a flat $2.95 to 20% at $15, offers just below and above that line behave differently. A $15 sale pays a $3 fee and leaves $12; a $14 sale pays $2.95 and leaves $11.05. The Poshmark $15 line manual explains how to price around it.

Step 3: Time your offers deliberately

Because each new offer within 90 days must be at least 10% lower than your lowest offer, the order matters:

  1. Wait until a listing has several likes before the first offer.
  2. Start with the smallest discount the app allows.
  3. Give each offer its full 24 hours.
  4. Before a second offer, decide whether the item's demand justifies a lower price, or whether new photos or a better title would help more.

Event check: Poshmark's guide describes events such as Closet Clear Out, where dropping a price by at least 10% sends the offer and discounted shipping to likers, and Make a Deal Days, where Offers to Likers enter you into prize draws. Event rules are set for each event; read them in the app before you assume who funds the shipping discount.

Step 4: Use bundle discounts alongside offers

Poshmark's guide also describes seller bundle discounts: in your Seller Discounts settings, you choose a discount percentage and a minimum number of items. A bundle discount rewards buyers for buying more without lowering the price of single items. The Poshmark bundle costs guide covers the math.

Step 5: Know when an offer isn't working

If several offers produce no sale, the problem may not be price. Compare the listing with recent sold items using the Poshmark pricing guide, check that the photos are clear and the size and measurements are visible, then decide whether to relist, cross-list or stop discounting.

Common mistakes

  • Sending an offer without calculating earnings after the 20% fee.
  • Making a deep first offer and leaving no room for later ones.
  • Forgetting the 90-day lowest-offer rule and wondering why an offer didn't send.
  • Funding a shipping discount that pushes profit below your floor.
  • Discounting a listing whose real problem is weak photos.

Make every offer count

An Offer to Likers is a public commitment to a private audience, and each one must go at least 10% lower than the last within 90 days. Calculate your floor first and spend your discounts slowly.

Try your own floor, price and offer discount.

A chosen $40.00 asking price with a 10% discount becomes $36.00. Compare with the chosen $25.00 item-price floor, under unchanged shipping and fee terms. That floor is a cost constraint, not market value or a safe automatic-acceptance setting.
